Many new investor are usually wondering why is the share price of the company in which they have holdings is going down. Specially when the whole market is going up. It usually happens when the company has go ex-dividend, and when it happen, usually shares price fall by the same percentage amount of the dividend.

Why does it goes down? When a company is giving money out isn’t a good thing because they are losing capital. It is like when a company buy an asset, it has to spend capital, but when it sales an asset, receive capital and shares/cfd price will increase.
